about

Nearly six years after their debut LP, Group Modular returns with a new synth-centric fuzz-funk 7inch on Delights label. On this new record, the duo continues their exploration of the vast world of library music, reaching some of the darker themes in the 1970's film.

The apocalyptic, mid-tempo opener "Black Ray" is inspired by the classic "absolute weapon" motif in science fiction. On the flipside, you'll find an updated version of "Acid Wheels" - a sinister chase theme, influenced by the early 70's biker gangs movies.

This release comes out in concurrence with the International Synthesizer Day (May 23rd, Robert Moog's birthday), and marks the new direction for the band's upcoming second album.
